# This is my first Monstera and i’m trying my best but i’m not sure if…

This is my first Monstera and i’m trying my best but i’m not sure if this is a problem or not! My Monstera seems pretty healthy except one of its leaves just seems to grow upside down? It’s almost brand new i’ve only had it for a week or so and i just noticed this. Is this a bad thing?

And it’s not a dead leaf it seems pretty healthy from what i can tell…

It's probably just weak from poor nutrients or lighting from before you purchased it. if you use some plant velcro- or even plastic wrap- you can tie it upright so it doesn't look so weird. it'll still photosynthesize, so the plant won't kill off that leaf.
