Hey! Going to repot my large monstera. I got it off of Facebook marketplace recently and finally have time. Any suggestions on how to go about it? Best soil? Ways to give it the best leg up a gal could give it? Thanks in advanced!

Check happyhappyhouseplant on instagram. If you have time to do some scrolling through her posts, there’s a ton of good knowledge and tips that’ll be directly relevant.
One thing I’d definitely suggest is pruning it (propagate the cut bits) so that it puts more energy into growing larger, fuller leaves.

I suggest using a tropical soil! I used a perlite-orchid bark mix and added it to regular soil for my monstera

I know they like to be in tight pots. So I wouldn’t go bigger than 2 inches more than the planter its in now. Do you have any idea how old she is?? Here is mine, I’m trying to figure out how old she is. I can’t wait for the “fun” leaves. Even though I think her baby leaves are beautiful as well. Mine is about 16 inches tall and about 18 inches wide.

You also might want to wait a few weeks so she can get acclimated to the new environment. Don’t want to stress her out too much right off the bat. Good luck!!
