_Publié par Megs le 2024-07-08_

Propagated monstera there are two cuttings in this vase, they seem to be growing wonderfully in a few days when it’s time to change water and clean the vase should i separate the two plants into there own vase or should they be fine continuing to grow in the same?

You could do either! It’s your choice. They are going to be fine either way

I’d personally probably leave them together until the roots are more established since they seem to be doing well, but I think it would be okay either way.

Oh yay thank you so much I was wanting to keep them together but was unsure how it was going to work out with multiple root systems growing in 1 container if they would damage each other or not. So glad to hear :)

You might have to untangle the roots a little when you get ready to pot them if you intend for it to be two separate plants but it shouldn’t cause any issues

Might be beneficial to keep them together especially if they’re from the same plant. Roots in water can release rooting hormone that both plants can benefit from, so I’d definitely keep them together and let them help one another it’ll be mutually beneficial. Also, when you change out the water you can leave a little of the original water so you don’t completely get rid of the rooting hormone floating around in there, good luck!
