# Hi friends! I picked this monstera up at Walmart within the last few…

Hi friends! I picked this monstera up at Walmart within the last few weeks and I love it so much. It has been happy and growing new leaves! 😍 I went out of town last week for a trip and came home and noticed these brown spots on the bottom of its leaves. It’s possible they were there before and I just didn’t notice, this is my first monstera! They do wipe off like dust/dirt-ish material but they leave behind faded yellow spots. What are they? What should I be doing to help?

It also has this very large spot on this leaf in the photo when I brought it home. All tips and advice appreciated!! Thanks!!!

Hello! i have a similar problem from one i got from home depot . any updates or advice? I was told to spray some milk on it but not too sure how well that would work.

Milk will not treat rust. Though a dilution of is known to help powdery mildew

I agree it looks like rust instead of possibly scale bugs. Do several spaced out treatments with a fungicide.
