# Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my Monstera Deliciosa? Last…

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my Monstera Deliciosa?
Last year, I repotted it into a completely different type of soil and it hasn’t been the same since then. It lost all but 1 leaf and every time that it gets new growth, it will eventual turn brown and die, just like the one in the first picture. I water it once a week and nothing ever changes in the room that it is in. What could be causing this. The new soil it is in is made for tropical plants, but the dirt it was in before was a clay-based soil

Hi. So sorry about your plant. Have you checked out the roots? I would rinse the roots and go back to the old soil. Also check for disease or pests on the back of the leaf or in the soil.

How much light is it getting?

Right next to a south facing window, and it never moves

Definitely looks like thrips. The pot also looks quite large and soil looks too dense, both of which can keep the soil too wet \& cause root rot
