# Hello Everyone~I am new to this app and a relatively new Monster…

_JGill님이 2024-03-30에 게시함_

Hello Everyone~I am new to this app and a relatively new Monster owner. I’ve had this plant about 2 years. I’ve learned so much reading past posts! I think it may be time for a repot? Just in the last few weeks I’ve seen these dry patches at the ends of some leaves. I think it’s in potting soil now but understand it should be in a mixture of soil perlite and orchid bark? Any words of wisdom would be appreciated 💜

If the pot has drainage holes, try looking under the pot to see if the roots are coming out of the pot. That’s always my first step when I’m considering repotting.
If you haven’t repot it in the past two years since you’ve had it, I’m guessing it’s definitely time to at least freshen up the soil. Personally, I use coco coir/peat moss, orchid bark, chunky perlite, horticultural charcoal, and worm castings. An easy version of that would be to get a base like FoxFarm Ocean Forest soil and add in some extra perlite and bark. Personally, I think the chunkier the better!
Also it probably would LOVE if you have it a moss pole, coco pole, or any sort of support since it’s a natural climber.

Thank you for replying! Repotting is on the agenda for today. I have ordered a coco pole also. Thanks again for the advice!
