# Hey everyone so I got my first Thai Constellation and seems that time…

Hey everyone so I got my first Thai Constellation and seems that time to fertilize it is coming up . I was thinking of using liquid fertilizer to spray it down after potting. Any recommendations on which to use or how often to fertilize it ? I also keep it outside any recommendations for bugs ? I haven’t had any bug issues yet thankfully

I use superthrive foliage pro and fertilize as long as the plant is actively growing, so just about every watering. For bugs, I use captain jacks dead bug brew

I don’t really use liquid fertilizer on mine I use leafy plant fertilizer from south side plants I mix it in to the water it is pretty expensive tho!

I use the Schulz liquid fertilizer! I haven’t had any issues with it yet. I dilute it in water for my monsteras and give every month during the growing season. You can also do every other watering.

When is technically growing season ? This is my first monstera so im clueless

I would wait a bit in between repotting and fertilizing. Repotting is very traumatic even when you're gentle with the roots and if you feed it at the same time you can worsen the transplant shock (especially if you're giving it a new type of fertilizer that it isn't used to as well.)
