My friend gave me this monstera and I received it very straggly.. how should I help it! I’m glad to see a new leaf but the rest of the plant looks sad :(

It needs a consistent direction of light

I would just chop it and propagate it tbh then you could put the propagations back in the pot when they’ve made some roots

Any advice on how to chop it? I know under the node but I get worried haha

yup! just about an inch under the node, you have no need to worry since you have great aerial roots already! I usually let the cut end dry out a bit before I put it in water.
