Pop the plant out of its pot and check the roots. If there’s a root ball in the shape of the pot, then it’s time. If not I’d leave it. Monsteras like to be root bound. Have a strong root system.

I had the same feeling you might have plenty room for the plant but you could take the babies out and make new plants also will show more of the mama plant
