# hi guys - advice please, is that mould? I water my monstera according…

hi guys - advice please, is that mould? I water my monstera according to this app, and I usually water it until water is dripping out the draining holes a lot, so about 200ml of water each time. then once it stops dripping, i pop it straight into the main plant stand… is this wrong??

I’ve found that the app tells me to water too often, I believe that’s why they rolled out the new update for tailoring those needs, and I’ve also found that I need to leave my plant out of the decorative pot for a day or so after watering.  
It does look like mold, have you repotted the plant since getting it?

yep it tells me to water every 6 days which does seem quite often! it hasn’t been repotted since I got it about 3 months ago, I was going to wait a bit longer but with the mould I think it’ll need to be soon. thanks for your response! 🙂

It looks like mychorriza to me, which is good fungi that benefits the plant. Look it up
