# Should I cut back this leggy baby? She’s been doing amazing the last…

_Posted by Rhye on 2025-08-06_

Should I cut back this leggy baby? She’s been doing amazing the last few months, so many knew leaves but she’s so leggy from before I had her and where i trimmed some older/smaller/unhealthy leaves. Do I just need better support to make her look better? I’m scared to chop her. Is it just an aesthetic choice or would chopping her possibly help her? Idk i probably should leave her alone if she’s doing great but I’d love thoughts from more seasoned Monstera parents!

Honestly I say give it a few trims on the sides that are top heavy, if you do cut any that have roots on the sides (the little brown twig thingies) you could place it in water (add cinnamon where u cut to prevent root rotting) and u could make another pot
