# Ive had my monstera for almost a week and have been giving her time…

Ive had my monstera for almost a week and have been giving her time to adjust. I gave her water when I first got home since the soil was bone dry, put her under my grow light/near a window and she seems to be a lot happier since then. When is it a good time to put the moss pole in? There’s a little steak in it now kind of supporting it, but am unsure when is the right time to mess with her.

Personally, I think it’s good at any time! Just be gentle when tying the leaves up, if they’re new and not hardened, they can get damaged. A moss pole helps support the leaves from hanging down from the weight, but it won’t help growth/climbing until it develops aerial roots. Patience is key!!
