My monstera is looking amazing. But I found yellow mold? I think? On the top of her soil today, any suggestions?

Also adding the monstera in the white pot that I propagated from this mama

I found the same sort of yellow mold/fungus, PLUS some mushrooms 😫 they are my favorite, send help

All the yellow spots are mushrooms starting to sprout up. I’ve had that exact kind before. I have a hunch that the spores travel in soil mixes. They seem totally harmless though. However, I still like to dig them out before they grow, because the spores are kinda messy when the “umbrella” opens and puffs dust in a ~6” radius

those are mushrooms! it’s a sign of a healthy soil I was told 🫠 mine pop up in my SOH 💓

your string of hearts might be overwatered. the soil should dry out completely between waterings and this will discourage excessive fungal growth

your monstera might be overwatered. mushrooms are a sign of healthy soil (some amount of fungi help create a miniature ecosystem to support your plant’s roots) but typically fungi will produce their fruits (mushrooms) in a very moist environment. the soil should be totally dry at least a few inches down before you water your monstera again
