I am going to repot my monstera and have never done this before!
✨ Looking for advise \& tips :) ✨

I purchased a moss pole and a 10” pot (this one is 8”).
Advise on soil? How to use the moss pole? Anything you can think of that you would have wanted to know as a newbie? Thanks so much!
(Sorry photos are bad, I’m not near my plant so had to use what was in my camera roll)

I’ve never used a moss pole, but from general plant experience. It’s going to want a well draining, chunky soil. I do a 2:2:1 ratio of a nice potting soil mix, orchid bark, and perlite. When arranging in the pot/moss pole, make sure all the leaves are facing the same direction. Finally, don’t compact the soil too hard. Roots need oxygen and compacted soil is more likely to cause root rot. Whenever I need to keep something secure like stakes or in your case a moss pole, I pack the soil around the plant and pole then come back in later with a chopstick or skewer to create air within the soil
