# Had my XL Monstera a week, she’s been placed under a grow light and…

Had my XL Monstera a week, she’s been placed under a grow light and while I’ve been away one of her leaves has started to point upwards.

I have a self watering moss pole which I’m going to attach to her new pot when it arrives.

Should I also reduce the amount of hours she is under the grow light to help with the upward pointing leaf? (Currently under for 12 hours)

Or is she perfectly healthy and happy with how she is

She looks fantastic so I would imagine that amount of grow light is working well.

The leaves are pointing up towards the primary light source. If you want to change the morphology of the leaves to be more front facing, then you’ll need to change the angle of the light source.
