I just bought this mini monstera from Home Depot, it’s my first! It’s in a reservoir pot. I noticed that the stems are all on one side and they’re leaning. Anything I can do to fix? I put 2 support stakes on the ones that were heavier.

Also I’ve noticed roots growing off the large stems, but they’re not submerged in the soil? lol any advice is welcomed!

Having gotten a few monsteras recently, I also saw this. I read into it more and this is actually how they grow in the wild! In the wild they will grow across the ground until they find a tree to cling to and climb up! After reading that I went and found a sturdy stick to put in the soil next to the base of my plant. It’s been a few weeks and it already seems more firm in the ground and is starting to sprout upwards instead of sideways. Hope this helps!!

I would stick the aerial roots back in the soil if you can. They grow out all the time but I find my plants grow faster when I can put them back in soil.
Monstera also have a front and back. They could be some of the leaning you see. A grow light directly above it would help it grow upwards.

Not sure if you already know this, but Mini Monsteras are not actually monsteras; they’re just called that as a common name because that’s how they look

They are Rhaphidophora tetrasperma :)
