# Hello! I need some help determining what is happening with my swiss…

Hello! I need some help determining what is happening with my swiss cheese monstera. It was doing just fine, but over the past couple weeks, the new leaves have grown these strange, almost silver looking spots. Does anyone know what this is and how to prevent it? Thank you!

Yes, sadly this looks like thrip damage to me 😢 systemic granules and captain jack’s should do the trick

Captain Jack’s? Is that rum? Is that for the owner or the plant?

😂😂 it’s a bug killer but the rum for humans would not be a bad idea thrips are the worst !!
