# Hello friends! I recently brought home a baby Thai con. Waited about…

Hello friends!

I recently brought home a baby Thai con. Waited about a week to repot. I potted it in my house made soil mix of regular potting soil, orchid bark and perlite. It’s in a 4 inch pot with drainage. I watered it until water came out of the bottom. (It was completely dried out when I repotted) It’s been 8 days and the soil is still wet. It has spent a few days outside on my porch getting some good sun, and the last couple of cloudy days it has been under a grow light. I made sure it wasn’t too compacted in there and broke up the soil a bit. Is this common for this plant? I don’t want to kill this super rare, beautiful plant.
