# This Thai con used to be 3 leaves and now she’s enormous….. I’m…

This Thai con used to be 3 leaves and now she’s enormous….. I’m thinking about repotting since her roots are crazy (pics in comments) but she keeps pushing out new leaves….. if I leave her and she gets a little rootbound do we think she’ll keep putting out these bigger leaves? I’m nervous to repot her since she’s doing so well but would love some opinions or encouragement! Thanks!!!

As far as I know monsteras like to be root bound just a little, I think it’s because then they can focus more energy on leaves but I’m not for sure, I personally would wait a little longer, especially since I’ve seen ones way worse where the plant was still super happy. (This is just my experience and I am by no means an expert)

My monstera’s roots are going insane but it’s not putting out new leaves. I think they focus their energy on one or the other. If she’s doing good, I’d leave her be! There’s still plenty of soil in that pot!

Also waiting to repot til the new leaf is hardened is best!

What type of fertilizer do you use?

I use Big green leaves from bless your soil! I think you can get it on amazon now! It’s done wonders for my plants!
