So I recently repotted my large monstera and the stem of the plant is leaning on the pot and I noticed there was a brown spot on the stem and I’m just wondering if I should be concerned, I can’t get a pic but it looks like a bruise kind of, is that normal??

I also have a very large monstera — it’s a single stem growing up a moss pole. I have caused some mechanical damage along the way (with the moss pole i’m using but that’s another story) and I’ve caused some of these bruises and haven’t noticed any adverse effects.

In fact, I just popped up to snap a pic for you and I don’t even see evidence of the spots anymore. Just keep an eye on it — as long as it doesn’t get larger and/or softer, it will probably be fine

I put a piece of plant Velcro against the pot
