# So I have this rescue monstera I have been trying to nurse back to…

So I have this rescue monstera I have been trying to nurse back to life and after giving it a good mist I noticed that there were these odd spots on the underside of its leaves

The odd part is it’s only on some of the leaves and others look completely fine

I swear if this is some kind of bug I’m gonna burn this whole house down

And you can't wipe them off? Pest, especially thrips can be on some leaves and not all. That kinda looks like water staining though from mineral/additives rich water on the left.

No, I can’t wipe or scrape it off it seems to be under the skin

And I don’t think it’s poor water either I only use distilled water

I've never seen anything like that. It doesn't look like edema since the pic on the right doesn't look discolored. There are bugs that burrow in. But usually you will start to see brown spots or cuts where they got in.

It was thrips, long story short she has two leaves and I’m happy to take those too if need be
