# What’s the rule of thumb for pruning? I have quite a few OG leaves…

What’s the rule of thumb for pruning? I have quite a few OG leaves that are broken and sad, and I have some immature leaves that look ugly lol how many is too many leaves to cut? Where do you cut? Should I cut? lol I have all the questions! Example of leaves I want to chop for aesthetic and to promote better growth:

Genera rule of thumb is to not remove more than 1/4-1/3 of the plants foliage. Any more than that and it may not be able to support itself. I generally prune leaves back to the base, close to the stem. Make sure you are sterilizing your pruning tool before/after to keep the plant healthy.

Don’t cut more than 1/3 of their leaves to prevent the plant getting stressed.
