The universal struggle. I've been pretty happy with a system of grow lights and mirrors....keeps me and the plants all happy

I regularly rotate mine. Is that not okay?

#### Yanni replied on 2025-10-02

That’s what I’m wondering 😭

Monsteras have a “back” where the aerial roots grow out from and “front” where the leaves face out and towards the sun! Frequently rotating monsteras will cause irregular and random facing leaves. In nature, monsteras attach and grow on larger trees, only adjusting their leaves to face the direction of the sun!

I moved mine outside. Here’s my results.

I live in California. It gets morning sun. About 4 hours maybe 5. If that. Usually just bright light.

Thank you 🙏🏽 here’s where he started. At Lowe’s we weren’t sure if it was a monstera or philodendron. Then we got our first fenestration leaf. Man was I excited I got the right plant.

I'm in southwest AZ. Outside doesn't seem like a good idea in my area. 🥵

I’m in Michigan it might freeze in the fall

#### Tellie replied on 2025-10-02

It’ll probably hibernate or grow slow in winter. Make sure to fertilize.

Where I live in the Bay Area our highest temp is 90-92. Light in the picture I posted is the light it gets other than the sun we get on the mornings it isn’t overcast. On hot days I water it. Even if it’s every day.

I keep mine facing the window. I just turn it around when I want to see her.
