# Can someone tell me if I have attached my monstera to the moss pole…

Can someone tell me if I have attached my monstera to the moss pole in the correct place? I believed I had attached the main stem in the intermodal space however google tells me I’ve attached a petiole. I’m confused, with a younger plant is so much more difficult to tell!

You indeed have attached to a petiole It's hard to tell from the pics but I think if you move it back it might be better or you might not really have that space yet. You can see in the picture where I tie mine.

I can see very clearly from your photo where to attach it but I just don’t see that same part on my plant 😭

the one that is attached has been attached correctly \& i'd say you can do the same with the other one, it's in the right spot. the danger with attaching petioles is from people attaching ONLY a petiole, you've actually caught the stem and done it correctly with what you have
