# Hey,can anyone give me tips on how to make my monstera grow faster it…

Hey,can anyone give me tips on how to make my monstera grow faster it popped out 2 new leaves in 2 months and now I’ve waited 2 months again and have no new growth it got upgraded from a 4in to a 6in pot it’s been getting this plant food you mix in with your water when watering and I keep it under a grow light for 8hr what am I doing wrong is it becomes it’s December? Besides that here’s my baby

Very nice, mine isn’t really doing anything as well lately. I might agree it could winter related. Looks great tho!

So that plant, in my opinion, is slow growing. Yours looks very healthy, so keep doing what you are doing. The leaves are huge. Beautiful. I don't know that you can speed up its growth. It does not grow as quickly as the non-variegated monstera. I got one this summer, and to date, it has only grown about 4 leaves. But the leaves it does have are getting bigger.

It looks very healthy! Winter in general slows down growth for a lot of plants. If you’ve recently repotted it into a bigger pot, it might be focusing on root growth for now as well. One thing you could do is increase your grow light timer to 12-14 hours a day. Scientific research has shown that plants really need at least 12 hours/day on grow lights to receive the same benefits that natural sunlight provides. Gorgeous plant!

I agree with Madison. It's focusing on growing roots instead if you repotted it within the last 4 months or so. Just wait until spring it will give you more leaves. Its gorgeous by the way!

She looks very healthy, I can say the climate change will slow the growth down just because…..I’ve had mine for about 3 years and she always give me 3-4 leaves in the warmer months and 1-2 in the colder months.

I use a grow light for mine and do a weak feed with every water, It was slow to grow at first when I brought it home, it needed to acclimate to the space but now I’m getting a new leaf every couple weeks.
