How can I make my monstera more full when it only wants to grow up?? Any tips appreciated.

Monstera are climbing plants so they usually just keep going up and up. You can cut and prop if it gets too high but the new growth with grow from where you cut and keep growing up

so taking some cuttings from the bottom will encourage more growth in that area?

Yeah if you have some shoots at the bottom!
