# Hey everyone I’m back again lol so when I got my Thai constellation…

Hey everyone I’m back again lol so when I got my Thai constellation it already had the leaf out and just needing to be unraveled. Is what I circled in the purple new ones popping out ? What’s the difference between the ones that grow out the soil rather than attached ?

The bits that are circled in the purple are not new leaves, they are just part of the petiole! All of the leaves that are growing off of each other above the soil are coming from the same growth point/stem, but you can have other active growth points buried in the soil which give you the separate growth that is not attached.
