# Hi there! When should I repot this monstera? Has a few roots coming…

Hi there! When should I repot this monstera? Has a few roots coming out of the bottom and only had 2 leaves when I got her in the fall! She’s a happy gal \& I’m very nervous to repot haha. Any tips? Should I wait until Spring?

Well for one she looks a tad overwatered, I would repot in spring with a chunky airy mix in a 2 inch bigger pot. ( I know doesn’t seem like much bigger, trust me if you go bigger it might develop root rot ) good luck 🍀

What would you include in the soil mix? Just so I’m prepared!

I make my own, it’s kinda a pain but here’s my “recipe”. 2 parts organic topsoil, 1 part organic worm castings, 1/2 part play sand, 1 part organic orchid bark and 2 parts perlite. Most of this stuff you can get at Home Depot or Lowe’s, you might need to get the worm castings online. Good luck and make sure that you get pot with drainage holes! 🙂
