# Hello Monstera Maniacs, My poor Swiss Cheese plant isn't looking so…

Hello Monstera Maniacs,  
My poor Swiss Cheese plant isn't looking so well these days. Any ideas? Over watering maybe?

yeah most likely or some kind of fungal infection…I would definitely trim those infected leaves

Ok thank you. Would that fix it if it is fungal? Or should I get some sort of fungicide for it?

if it is fungal I would go ahead and just pull the roots up because it could be root rot and just cutting the damaged leaves and fungicide might not be enough to stop it from spreading

but I’m also on an intermediate level so I would wait to see what the more experienced users on here might say but even if it’s just overwatering examining the roots I feel is your best way to examine the extent of the damage

could i have a picture of the soil? what light is it getting?

I just put a grow light on it this week. It was a bit low light up until now.
