# Bought a beautiful mini monstera just under a week ago. Just spotted…

_Posted by Jamie on 2025-03-25_

Bought a beautiful mini monstera just under a week ago.

Just spotted the route on wide side is furry (posted photo comparison to other). When I touched it, a minuscule orange worm reared its head.

Anybody any tips or suggestions to what it could be and whether it’s treatable?

Thanks in advance!

Jamie (Enthusiastic but definitely a novice!)

oh yea i think its rot then, i would suggest cutting the bad part off and like trying to propagate the whole thing. get a second opinion though im not 100%

I agree it looks like rot

Agreed, rot. Cut off the bad part and propagate it, so that the rot doesn’t spread anymore.
