I got this as a one leaf cutting last year from a friend. Her entire plant is green; Is this going to give me a random variegated leaf?

Sadly probably not, this looks like just a white leaf cover. Totally normal and it happens to me sometimes. I can't tell any difference on the leaf between the white and green covers but it usually fades to green once the new leaf has matured. if I'm totally wrong and it's a cool mutant variant that's pretty insane.

Oh yes the stubs is an aerial root. I was talking about the papery leaf cover on the stem. Whoops 😆
