# Hi all! I’ve had this monstera for 3-4 months and it had been doing…

Hi all! I’ve had this monstera for 3-4 months and it had been doing great until it went an extra 2 days longer than usual without water. There are plenty of new leaf shoots but one of the new leaves browned before unfurling and another’s stem bent. The plant overall is drooping a bit more now too. I’m not sure if it is just getting too heavy or if something else is going on? It has also been fairly hot in the apartment as well. Top photo is a reference before these issues started!

Have you checked the roots to see if it’s root bound in that pot?

It was pretty root bound!

Then definitely repot with a super chunky soil mix. Upsize the pot by 1-2” max. While you’re at it give it a moss pole, or stake. It will grow into a beautiful BEAST.
