# My monstera is looking a tiny bit sad. It’s still growing new leaves…

_Posted by paige’s plants on 2024-03-24_

My monstera is looking a tiny bit sad. It’s still growing new leaves but the new ones don’t have fenestrations. It also looks a little droopy and flimsy? Like, the old leaves are kind of folding on top of themselves and almost look more delicate. I feel like it’s a healthy plant over all but does anyone have any tips to get it to thrive? Thanks!

I would give her some supports! You can use wooden posts or sticks, and twist ties to gently secure the stems. That’ll help it stand up better and take off some weight

I agree with the previous poster. My monstera looked the same way so I got some supports for it and tied it up and it looks much better and happier!

Thank you so much! Would you recommend a moss pole or something else?

I got these and they work really well especially if you’re not looking to repot.
