# I just tried to replant my monstera and the roots were so packed in…

I just tried to replant my monstera and the roots were so packed in that it unfortunately broke/snapped off. Should I try propagating in water to get more roots or just put in a planter and hope for the best? I really hope I didn’t just kill it😢

Put it in water to re-root and it'll be fine. Next time when your repotting. Try to gently loosen the soil from the edges of the pot before pulling up. A butter knife can be really helpful.
