# I left my monstera in the sun too long and my newest leaf is burnt…

I left my monstera in the sun too long and my newest leaf is burnt 😭. Will the rest of the leaf continue to grow with just a huge discolouration in the middle? Will the leaf die? Anything I can do to help?

She was doing so well, top leaf was my first ever new growth and the burnt one is my second :(

Hang in there, patience is key with damage.. I took in a “patient” for almost the same issue and after about a month it grew stronger around it and was healing well so I cut the dead leaf off \& even though you lose strength of the leaf it remains healthy on the rest \& will continue to grow (losing the leaf aso soon as maybe 2 more leaves grow)

Thank you! That’s what I was hoping, I know I would’ve gotten over it eventually but I really didn’t want to lose a whole new growth right now.
