# Hey y’all! When I was in Hawaii I was fascinated by all the beautiful…

Hey y’all! When I was in Hawaii I was fascinated by all the beautiful plants, and it’s what sparked my plant obsession. I don’t know much about plants but remembered this being a Monstera. 2 years later, I finally brought a monstera home but I’m realizing that I don’t think they are the same type?? To me, this leaf shape looks “droopier/more dramatic” and I love the contrast of the bright, almost neon, green stem against the darker green leaves.

Would anyone happen to know what this monstera is called? I’d love to have it in my collection. Or is this just an absolutely massive wild “regular” monstera and this is how they look when they get that big? For reference, that’s my grandma’s head in the picture and she’s 5’2, I’m pretty sure these leaves were as tall, if not taller, as her.

Sorry if this is a dumb question! Thank you in advance!

I think it’s just a regular monstera. I know they get more fenestrated when they mature. Spot my Hawaiian ti plant in back!

A pic pf your monstera would be helpful.
There are different species in the monstera genus.
That photo looks like a monstera deliciosa.
