# Hi there… I’ve had this Monstera for a while… One of the bigger…

Hi there… I’ve had this Monstera for a while… One of the bigger leaves did turn yellow and I cut off… I have since had two more yellow leaves… Not sure why? We are heading into the summer. I’m not sure if it is underwater or overwatered, although I do not overwater it or shall I say water it a ton I pretty much follow the app..

You’ll want to water only when the soil dries out. I recommend getting this into a well draining, chunky aroid mix

since you noted this has happened to several, check your roots for rot. Remove anything black or mushy or smelly. Post pics of the roots if you need to 😊

Thank you, I was wondering also if I should be upping the size of the pot I forget if they like to be tight fitted in a pot or maybe it’s too smothered

I have only been watering when it is completely dry

If the issue is overwatering and/or rot then you definitely don’t want to size up. Depending on what you find you may even need or want to size down
