Hi! My monstera is a propagation from a friends. I notice the bottom where new leaves would come is brown. A new leaf has grown in and it has brown lines/ is damaged. Any idea what I can do? The rest of the plant is healthy!

My monstera has done the same thing before but it stated growing more new leaves that are fine so idk why it does that. Maybe -- it needs more light.

Thank you🙂

This is normal. The casing it grew from is drying out on the stem. It happens every time a new leaf emerges. Nothing to be alarmed over.

Do you think it is okay to cut this leaf or should I leave it?
