Are any Monstera non toxic for cats? Open to similar suggestions. They’re just so beautiful and it makes us sad we can’t have one because most are toxic.

i have a huge monstera and my cats leave it alone. you \*can\* mist the leaves with lemon oil/juice and use a spray bottle at the cats if they go near it. my 8 year cat used to bother mine when i first got it but my 1 year kitten never touched it (i think my older cat taught him not to). i know it’s a risk but if you have other plants and your cats leave those alone, it’s likely they won’t eat this one.

you can spray vinegar mixed with water to deflect them from biting

Fatsia Japonica aka Japanese Aralia is known as the Pet-friendly Monstera Deliciosa alternative. While they don't have the same split-leaf shape, they have a very similar growth pattern, growing tall and wide with large, lush leaves
