Hello there ! New plant mum here :) and I just received this beautiful Monstera as a gift, I feel like it needs a bigger pot ? and also could I have some tips on what I need to do to keep it alive please ?

What a great gift!! 😍😍😍 monsteras like to be slightly rootbound so unless there are more roots than soil it will probably be fine

It’s an expensive gift too! So beautiful! 😍😍😍 I’m jealous 😜  
At my local farmers market, one that has MUCH smaller leaves in like a 4 inch pot would be around $150!  
You may want to give it something for support at some point too.

Puuuurrrrdy! I’d leave the pot alone for a month or so while the plant acclimates to its new environment. Like Abi said, they do like being tight in the pot, however they also grow THICK roots real fast. It’s a bit of a balancing act making sure the pot isn’t too spacious, while not leaving it for so long that it gets stuck in the pot

Other than that, they like lots of indirect light, frequent fertilizing, and the white parts will last longer with humidity round 40-50% if possible. It looks like you’ve got it in a cache pot, so just make sure it’s not sitting in water for longer than a day after you water it
