Does anyone know when/if my monstera will produce a new leaf? I’ve just repotted it but it’s been ages since a new one :( I’m not even sure where the new leaf will grow from…

Don’t worry, mine’s been a few months and now it’s finally growing some new leaves. It will take a bit of time but keep on watering it and giving it sunlight and you’ll see leaves in no time

There should be a sheath of sorts on the back of the petiole (leaf stem) of the most previous leaf. This will be where the new leaf will emerge when it’s ready :) I circled examples in blue what I’m talking about where your previous leaves have emerged, and a photo of my monstera that’s currently putting out a new leaf. Hope this helps!

That’s what I thought but the newest stem doesn’t have one of the them yet :( idk if it grows or what

Your monstera is beautiful btw omg

It’s hard to tell but it’s probably hiding on the backside of the petiole up against your support stake. If you recently repotted the plant’s using most of its energy to produce new roots so it can be normal to not see any new growth above ground while it’s working below.
