My sister gave me my first Monstera about six months ago. I’ve always said I had a black thumb until I downloaded this app. I learned how to propagate her because her leaves were very sparse as my sister didn’t know how to take care of her either. This pot sat in the corner of my living room, forgotten about simply because I was too lazy to take her outside and dump her. I was cleaning one day and saw these new growths pop up. I had no idea how resilient these plants were! It’s so exciting!!! (I have a whole plant room with all kinds of plants now since using this app and I am beyond ecstatic)

Hi! The more light the better! (Especially for fenestrations
In the leaves as it Gets older!) Just be careful because they can burn quite easily
i let mine Completely dry out before watering because they can get root rot Very easy!
And if the Plant is only that Stem with the new growth typically you want it in a smaller Pot because having it in a Pot too big can also cause root rot from it sitting in water for too long BUT if You having it in that same pot And it seems to be thriving Then leave it alone!
Repotting can cause it be become in shock sometimes so just be careful And aware IF that happens just to leave it Be at Settle its self

I have a monstera adansonii that got leggy and I gave up on. Moved it to my garage a month ago. When I opened the garage door yesterday, for the first time, it’s still alive. Sitting in the cold and dark! 😂🤣. This is why I’m always telling people that monsteras are pretty resilient!
