So when it comes to fertilizer, there's what's called an NPK ratio (Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Potassium). You'll see this on your product as three numbers with dashes, like 3-1-2, which means there's 3% nitrogen, 1% phosphorus, 2% potassium. There are many different ratios, and each ratio may be beneficial for say leaf growth, root growth, blooming, etc, or a specific plant might like a specific ratio. That's why you might see "monstera fertilizer" online, but it very well could be a common ratio that already is easy to buy in store. Some ratios come in multiples, so you might see 5-5-5 and 10-10-10, where the latter would be twice as many nutrients as the former but providing the same ratio of nutrients.

Also, the 3-1-2 multiple is great for leaf growth, according to the internet. I use Osmocote 15-9-12 pellets because it's as close as I could find in store to the 3-1-2 multiple, AND it's slow release as opposed to liquid fertilizer, which can overwhelm a plant with nutrients and "burn" the plant (whatever that means, I'm assuming it's just giving the plant with too many nutrients at once).
