I got this from Trader Joe’s last week. The soil she came in is super fine and water beads up and it does eventually seep to the bottom and saturate, but doesn’t seem breathable. Should I repot her with the same size but different soil? I just have basic all purpose potting soil.

I’d make the trip to Lowe’s and get tropical soil. And if you don’t have one all ready my monstera loves the humidifier.

Monsteras love a chunky soil. I use a mixture of potting soil, coco fiber, coco chips, perlite, and peat moss and mine are thriving. I would also keep the nursery pot size that it is in as well.

Also, if you do use a different pot make sure it has plenty of drainage holes at the bottom this helps prevent root rot.
