# I bought this plant off Marketplace a few days ago. Yesterday while…

_Publié par Ottawa-Plant-Guy le 2024-08-31_

I bought this plant off Marketplace a few days ago. Yesterday while repotting it I noticed one of the stems was notched and one was bent 90 degrees. Should these be cut off or will they be okay?

Also, anything I can do for such a bare lower half?

Ignore the pole in the front, waiting on a moss pole to stabilize this properly.

I’d say cut off the bent one. Don’t keep it outside if it’s too hot keep in the right light conditions I have mine inside by a partially shaded huge south facing window. Also water whenever the soil is more then a few inches dry or just water according to planta but if your soil is wet when planta says to water it wait a day or two. This is what I’ve done and my monstera is thriving. Hope this helps!
