# Hello, new monstera plant mom here! Where I have her placed in my…

Hello, new monstera plant mom here! Where I have her placed in my living room is on the opposite corner from a south facing window, it’s two large windows so the living room gets a decent amount of light. I also have a grow light I recently purchased. I think I may be overwatering and that’s what’s wrong with the leaves? I have not repotted since I bought her in November. Also, how long should I leave her under the grow light? Thanks!!

I don’t know much about plant sicknesses but I can remind you that there is always Dr. Planta to help you! Btw, Monsteras love to be cramped in a pot so having too small of a pot shouldn’t be a problem yet! Good luck! Me personally loves monsteras! I hope u grow to enjoy them as much as I do!

Check to see if you have an air vent near the plant if so close it. And make sure you’re misting the plant to keep humidity levels ok. It looks great so doesn’t appear to be a watering issue but the top of the soil should feel dry before watering. Hope that helps 🫶

Is it too close to the grow lamp? They do give off heat, so could be scorched.

Actually scrap that I have looked at the pic. You have another leaf turning too. Check the roots, these plants are jungle plants and are not kept in pots so a little more room if the roots haven’t got rot might help. One size up.
