So like maybe 4 months ago or more my 3 year old, then 2yo, tried to destroy this leaf on my monstera but I splinted it lol and it’s still thriving months later. Not sure if I will ever be able to take that splint off so maybe I should just let the leaf go but idk if I can do it

Think of it this way. She’s giving her energy to try to repair the damaged limb. The splint looks good, but I don’t think there is enough connected tissue for her to survive long term.

If you chop it, it will have more energy to direct to NEW, big, beautiful leaves.
