I have a few monsteras and got a new one today! (I have a Thai Constellation on the way too!) I’m very excited about it because the leaves are so big. I want the leaves to become much bigger on my monstera plants - any tips on promoting bigger leaf growth?

If you give it a moss pole for support it will help. If the plant doesn’t think it can support large leaves it makes smaller ones.

Moss poles are key to big leaves! Make sure you find a moss pole that isn’t too dense for the monstera to grow roots into. I like the clear ones that you fill with moss yourself - then you can monitor growth too. The key is to get them onto the moss poles early. Once they’re established, it’s harder to get them adapted to one. And then don’t forget to water the moss poles too.

I have used the clear poles successfully, but my monsteras are relatively small yet. I have a an albo with four leaves on one and a peru on one too

i have not. i make my own with plastic hardware net and moss. i put a stake down the middle to stabilize it. i’d recommend if you do get the clear ones, to put a stake to stabilize them. my monstera has leaves almost 2 feet wide, it bends the pole if i don’t have a stake in it
