Sometimes it’s low humidity, over watering, maybe root bounded if it hasn’t been repotted, sometimes it can be pests. Reason could be unlimited.

When was the last time you watered, fertilized, repotted, pruned? Any visible damage to the stem or root?

typically over watering will cause spots like this

Thank you both!
It’s a new cutting, just recently planted so it’s not root bound. I don’t think it’s pests either for that reason. No visible bandage to the stem or root.
I think it may be from overwatering. I’m following the Planta app’s recommendations for watering, but I may be giving it too much. I’m a first-time monstera owner. 😊
