# Hey all, I recently potted a large clipping of an older monstera…

Hey all,

I recently potted a large clipping of an older monstera after about a month of of rooting in water. (I added a picture of the roots before potting)

This is about a month later with a new leaf sprouting up. Since I have moved it from the window and under my grow lamps for the winter, the new leaf hasn’t made any progress. Is this anything to be worried about?

There is nothing to worry about! Monsteras have a dormant season where they slow down their growing or completely stop it. Just give it time.
